This video has it all! We have Wyatt jumping and a conversation with a very silly Jack, a mommy who calls kids by the wrong name, and if you hang on until the end, a clip of Wyatt saying his first word! I know, how will you handle all of the cuteness?

It's Getting Christmassy around here
I can't believe that tomorrow is Christmas Eve! Where did December go? We've been getting into the Christmas spirit slowly around here...Jack was sick with a cold and is finally over it. He and I made cookies last week and my plan was to decorate them the next day, but he woke up sick and I didn't think germy cookies would be too appetizing. I never got around to decorating them, so we've got plain, old sugar cookies...at least Jack had fun cutting them out. I did manage to make sandies (which came out especially good this year if I do say so myself. :) ) and chocolate peppermint sandwich cookies .
I confess, this is my recipe for sugar cut-out cookies:
We went to visit Santa on Monday and Jack let him know what he's hoping for (that would be a dolly house, train tracks and a train.) Just for fun, here's a link to last year's photo.
It's taken awhile, but Jack has finally caught on and wakes up in the morning asking to find Horsey. It's been fun and I think that next year, he'll be even more excited to find our little elf.
Here is our tree...
Jack had a party at his nursery school last week and the kids sang a few songs. It was a complete surprise to us that the kids would be performing, so when they lined up we realized that we should record it and I am so glad that we did...it was adorable.
(Forgive the shakiness, we'll get the hang of making home movies someday.)
In other news...Wyatt rolled over onto his stomach on Wednesday! Yay!
Ok, I am off to wrap presents.

A chat with Jack
Last week before my 38 week check up, Jack and I had lunch together and this conversation...He cracks me up and apparently really loves elevators.
My check up was great...I've gained 19 lbs total and the baby's heart beat (as Jack says, ba-boom, ba-boom) sounded perfect. I can't wait to finally meet this little guy.

Jack's bubble machine!
As promised, once Jack woke up from his nap after the potty excitement, we headed right to the store to pick up his new toy. He was so happy and couldn't wait to get home to play with it. It was raining that day, so the inaugural bubble making event was inside. He seriously loves his bubble maker...we all had so much fun that afternoon.
Enjoy this little video!
Enjoy this little video!
P.S. There have been two more successes on the potty since the first! YAY!

22 - James Brown
Here are a couple of clips of Jack grooving to James Brown's Soulful Christmas, his favorite song of the moment.
(Please excuse the mouth full of grilled cheese.)

Kitty Update:
I posted fliers around the neighborhood and posted in the lost and found section on Craigslist...so far no calls. He really is making himself at home...he's been sleeping ALL day. Oh, and Jack was enthralled by him.

Goodnight Moon
I came across this video and I had to share it. Jack LOVED watching his favorite book come to life. He was mesmerized.

Twinkle twinkle...
During Jack's nap yesterday, I caught him singing, at the top of his lungs. I filmed the video monitor to capture it because it was so cute. The picture isn't the greatest, but really, it's just the sound that matters! :)

Jack's monthly picture and a VIDEO!
I haven't decided if I am going to continue with the monthly pictures now that Jack is two. But I have put all of his monthly pictures to date into a video now that we have two years worth of them...
Enjoy!

Friday cuteness
Last Sunday we went out for dinner in honor of Rob's last day of vacation...Jack was quite a ham and very adorable, I might add. A complete stranger even came up to us to let us know that he's the most beautiful baby she's ever seen! I am not making that up...
Here's a short video of Jack hamming it up!
Happy Friday!

Guess who's walking! (Really!)
Hi! I am back. There is so much to catch up on. I am going to have to do this in a couple of installments. But first, I must share with you that Jack is officially walking! Friday, July 9, was the big day. He was doing his usual letting go of whatever he was holding on to and looking awfully proud of himself, when I asked him to walk over to me (like I've been doing for months). But he actually did and there was no going back! Everyone told me that when he finally starts to walk, that he would practically be an expert and it's true, he is. In those first few hours, I don't think he fell even once. He was so happy, he just kept walking from room to room with a big, fat grin. All of a sudden, at 20 months, we've got our toddler. Enjoy this video that was taken within minutes of the first steps!

A little stroll
Jack took a stroll today across the living room! Here is the evidence...
(Sorry for the shakiness, I was on my knees trying to back up!)

Climbing
Jack really doesn't want to miss anything. When we changed the furniture around in the living room, he figured out all by himself how to get to the windows to see whats happening around the neighborhood...

Here he is in-motion...

When Rob came home from work, Jack had a surprise for him!
We knew he could do it! :)

Sweet music
I was in the kitchen yesterday, unloading the dishwasher, when I heard what sounded like a harmonica coming from the living room. I thought, it couldn't be, but of course, it was. Jack was sitting on the floor, sans one shoe (as usual), playing his toy harmonica, and looking very proud of himself. It was too cute and I am so happy that I got it on video!
